Pixspace privacy policy

1. Controller

2. Principle

The app runs entirely on your iPhone. It has no account, no server, no ads, no analytics or tracking tool, and connects to no service. No photo, no metadata and no result leaves your device; the developer receives none of your data.

3. Photos read

With your permission (full access, or limited to the photos you choose), the app reads the thumbnails of your photos and videos, their dates, dimensions, sizes, formats and whether they are favorites, to group them and estimate the space to free. Hidden photos are never analyzed. For photos kept in iCloud, iOS may download their thumbnails; originals are downloaded only when you play or compress a video. You can change access at any time in Settings › Pixspace › Photos.

4. Data created by the app

Analysis results (sharpness and brightness measures, similarity prints), your sorting choices, the freed-space counter and your settings are stored on your iPhone, in the app's protected space. The analysis may go on while the app is closed, always on the iPhone. Settings › Reset the analysis erases these results without touching your photos; deleting the app erases them too.

5. Deletions and compressions

The app deletes nothing on its own: every deletion goes through iOS's confirmation and items stay 30 days in Recently Deleted. A compressed video is saved to your library with its date, place, favorite status and albums; the original stays intact until you choose to delete it.

6. Backups

As for any app, the app's data may be part of your iPhone backups, managed by Apple according to your settings. The app syncs nothing itself.

7. Purchases

The lifetime purchase and subscriptions are handled by Apple. The app checks on the device that the purchase is valid; the developer receives neither your name nor your payment details.

8. Sharing

No data is sold, shared or used for advertising or research.

9. Your rights (Swiss FADP, GDPR)

As the developer holds no data about you, there is nothing to send you or correct; you keep full control from your device. For any question: contact@dawnlab.ch.

10. Children

The app is not specifically aimed at children and collects no data.

11. This website

This website uses no cookies, no audience measurement, no external font or script. The host (Netlify, United States) may keep technical connection logs for security. The domain and email stay with Infomaniak (Switzerland).

Any change will be published on this page with its date.
